Their stunning, consistent tones add superlative realism to your model. Their tough membrane suits them ideally to use as a base coat, resistant to enamel paints, while swift drying times ensure an efficient painting process.

Tamiya Flat Base is an additive agent designed to turn Tamiya Gloss Bottle Paint colours into a flat finish. Simply mix a 1:1 ratio (never more) into a paint well palette for brush painting or an empty bottle for airbrushing. Mix well and add thinner if needed.

Please note: this agent is not a flat clear coat. It’s an agent best used for converting Tamiya Gloss Colours into a flat sheen. Mixing a ratio greater than 1:1 will yield in a milky, washed-out finish.
