DETAILS
The Cessna 188 Agwagon is a beautifully proportioned, large-scale model of the iconic agricultural aircraft, designed for intermediate to advanced pilots. With a wingspan of 2.47m (97″), this semi-scale ARTF model combines the practical stability of a high-wing airframe with distinctive crop-duster styling and excellent flying manners.
Built from lightweight balsa and plywood, the Cessna 188 features flaps, detailed cockpit, fibreglass cowl, and factory-applied covering. Designed for a 3038cc petrol engine or powerful electric conversion, it delivers smooth handling, stable landings, and strong visual presence in the air. Pre-hinged control surfaces and functional scale details make it a rewarding flyer with vintage utility aircraft character.
About the original:
The Cessna 188 Agwagon was introduced in the 1960s as a dedicated agricultural aircraft for aerial spraying and dusting. Part of Cessna’s light commercial aircraft range, the 188 became widely recognised for its rugged design, simplicity, and reliability in demanding rural environments. It remains a symbol of practical aviation used by farmers and agricultural operators around the world.
